Akash Mahajan is a senior Corporate Citizenship and Social Impact leader with more than 20 years of experience spanning financial services, healthcare, government, and the nonprofit sector across North America and Asia. He specializes in designing and operationalizing philanthropic strategies that align business growth, brand promise, and community impact.

As Sr. Regional Manager on the US Corporate Citizenship team within TD, Akash oversees regional philanthropic strategy and execution across Metro New York. He manages a multimillion-dollar charitable giving budget and serves as a strategic advisor to senior market leadership, aligning grantmaking and sponsorship investments with business priorities and community needs. His work focuses on economic mobility, affordable housing, financial security, and inclusive growth — ensuring philanthropy functions as both a catalyst for impact and a driver of enterprise value.

Earlier in his career, Akash held leadership roles at Diabetes Canada, where he built and managed seven-figure national corporate partnerships, and at the Toronto Region Immigrant Employment Council, where he helped shape inclusive workforce strategies and public-private collaborations that advanced immigrant and youth employment outcomes.

He holds an MBA in Sustainable Commerce from the University of Guelph (Canada) and a Certificate in Corporate Citizenship from Boston College. In 2023, he was recognized as one of New York’s Top 100 Responsible Leaders for his cross-sector impact and commitment to advancing responsible business practices.
