Duane Bussue-Herbert serves as the Vice President of Tenant Coordination at Anthos|Home, where he leads the organization’s efforts to guide individuals and families through the housing placement process—from initial referral and intake through to placement—ensuring a smooth, supportive transition to the Aftercare Team.

Duane brings deep expertise in housing navigation, systems coordination, and service delivery. Before joining Anthos|Home, he was Director of Housing Placement Services at Breaking Ground, where he designed and implemented the Welcome MAT (Moving on Accelerated Timeline) Transition program and the SSI/SSDI Outreach, Access, and Recovery (SOAR) initiative.  Previously, Duane held several leadership roles at the Jericho Project within the Supportive Services for Veteran Families (SSVF) program, including Case Manager, Assistant Director of Housing and Data Quality, and Senior Assistant Director. In these roles, he oversaw housing placement, data quality assurance (HMIS/AWARDS), and led process improvements that dramatically increased efficiency in financial assistance and client intake systems. 

Duane began his career providing direct services to formerly homeless veterans and has worked extensively with vulnerable populations, including individuals impacted by HIV/AIDS, mental health conditions, substance use, and immigration barriers.

He holds an A.S. and B.S. in Criminal Justice from Monroe College, and a Master’s degree in Leadership and Organizational Management from Capella University. Duane is a proud member of the National Society of Leadership and Success (NSLS), and is committed to advancing equitable, client-centered housing solutions.
