Lauren Aaronson is a thought leader in the field of government human services innovation, with a two-decade track record of working at the intersection of technology and operations. 

Lauren is currently the Human Services Transformation Leader at Amazon Web Services (AWS), where she focuses on helping state and local jurisdictions modernize the way they deliver social services. In this role, she provides strategic support to government leaders seeking to leverage technology to improve the user experience and increase agency capacity.

Prior to AWS, Lauren worked at New York City’s Health and Human Services — the nation’s largest such agency — where she led massive, award-winning transformation of service delivery projects. She oversaw multiple game-changing programs that provided new and enhanced services, including those related to low-income food stamps, cash and rental assistance, homeless services, child and elderly care, child support, employment and training and workforce development.

Lauren earned a bachelor’s degree in political science and government at Barnard College.
