As a SHARE Case Manager, Mario Vega provides support to vulnerable New Yorkers who’ve been in the shelter system for a significant period in the form of Rental Assistance and ongoing support to ensure housing security.

Mario has an extensive background in rental assistance programs, both state wide and on a federal level. In his previous role at The Community Economic Defense Project in Colorado, Mario developed and managed a Voucher Administration Program reaching over 700 households and ensuring long-term housing stability for participants. He has also supported Outreach Programs at The Colorado Coalition for the Homeless with resource and housing navigation, focusing on Indigenous and immigrant populations.

Mario holds a High School Diploma from Western Alamance High School in North Carolina and five years of non-profit experience.
