Serena Deng

Serena Deng has built an impressive résumé around her expertise in community development finance.

Serena is the Deputy Director of Asset Management at the Low Income Investment Fund (LIIF), a nonprofit community development finance institution that provides loans to affordable housing, early care and education and community facilities. She previously served as Development Director at The Hudson Companies, a leading developer in the New York metropolitan area. Her notable achievements include spearheading the development of a mixed-use live-work campus in Hunts Point, Bronx, and a 200-bed women’s homeless shelter in Manhattan, both of which showcase her commitment to addressing diverse housing needs. 

Serena was also a senior underwriter at the Community Development Trust and a Director at the NYC Department of Housing Preservation and Development.

She holds a B.S. from the University of California, Berkeley, and a masters in public health and urban planning from Columbia University.
