Shawnta Salazar

Shawnta Salazar has dedicated her career to advocating for and empowering vulnerable and under-resourced communities.

In 2023, Shawnta was promoted to Chief Operating Officer and Chief Equity Officer of HeartShare St. Vincent’s Services. In addition, Shawnta has supported communities of color by promoting health and wellness initiatives. In 2019, for example, she launched Uplift WorldWide to encourage fitness and healthy living in black and brown communities, and she consults as a trainer and public speaker for various organizations.

She has a master’s degree in public administration from Baruch College.
