Tesha Alvarez brings over a decade of experience in human services, with a strong focus on program operations, case management, and supporting vulnerable populations through a trauma-informed, client-centered approach. Her career spans leadership roles across nonprofit organizations and government systems, where she has consistently championed equity, dignity, and access to essential services.

Before joining the Anthos Home team, she served as a Case Manager Supervisor at several nonprofit agencies, helping asylum seekers transition from city-supported housing and navigate the complexities of the immigration system. She also spent five years partnering with Providers contracted by NYC Department of Homeless Services (DHS), to house individuals through the city’s housing voucher programs.

Earlier in her career, she held a leadership position at the Supreme Court of Jamaica, where she coordinated pilot programs aimed at improving outcomes for juvenile defendants. Her work in partnership with the Children’s Registry helped ensure timely case progression and strengthened witness management practices.

Driven by a deep commitment to social justice and systemic change, Tesha Alvarez continues to be a passionate advocate for those most in need.
